Inventory Sharing and Deletion Workflows

This guide covers how inventory visibility works across campaigns, how item deletion works, and where to review inventory history.

Inventory item visibility combines multiple source paths:

  • Your own items are always visible to you.
  • SRD/system items are always available.
  • Campaign member items are available when you share a campaign.
  • Granted sources are available when access is granted from another account.

In practice, this means players in the same campaign can view items created by other players in that campaign.

Campaign members can claim characters from the inventory selector page.

  • A player can claim multiple characters in the same campaign.
  • Claiming is limited to characters that belong to that campaign.
  • Campaign owners can still manage every character without claiming.

Use the Claim button beside a character to start managing owner-only inventory controls for that character.

Character owners can hide individual inventory entries and per-inventory gold totals from other campaign members.

  • Hidden entries are only visible to the campaign owner and to members who claimed that character.
  • Hidden gold totals are masked for non-owners.
  • Character owners can toggle visibility using the eye icon next to each item and in the currency row.

Visibility controls are ownership-aware:

  • Campaign owners can manage visibility for all campaign characters.
  • Claimed character owners can manage visibility only for characters they claimed.
  • Non-owners without claims cannot change visibility settings.

Inventory now tracks per-entry usage metadata for magic item management:

  • Charges can be spent or recovered directly from the item row controls.
  • Attunement state can be toggled per item when the underlying magic item requires attunement.
  • Attunement usage is shown per character as a running used/max indicator.
  • Attunement slot limits are configurable per character from the attunement manager.

Attunement usage is computed from each character’s inventory entries, item attunement requirements, and the entry attuned state.

From the character inventory page:

  1. Open a character inventory.
  2. Use the item delete action.
  3. Confirm deletion in the dialog.
  4. Optionally add a note explaining why the item was removed.

You can also choose Delete without note.

Inventory actions are written to the campaign inventory log, including:

  • action type (add, transfer, delete)
  • item name and quantity
  • owner and actor metadata
  • optional note for deletions
  • timestamp

Bulk actions create one log entry per affected item.

Use the Logs button from the inventory page to open the inventory log popover.

  • Entries are sorted newest-first.
  • Additional records load as you scroll.
  • You can use Load more to fetch older entries.
  • Deletion notes are optional but useful for campaign bookkeeping.
  • If quantity is reduced to zero, the entry is removed and logged as a delete action.
